Interesting side note on this pub, if you're a crime buff. This is the pub where Ruth Ellis shot her lover, in a jealous rage. Even though the pub has been redone gastro style, they kept the wall with the bullet holes intact, just for history's sake. For those of you unaware of Britian's history of capital punishment, Ruth Ellis means nothing to you, but she's actually the last woman Britian ever sentenced to death by hanging. So head there and impress your friends with your knowledge in this little gem in Hampstead.
