A real beer drinkers haven, and a friendly laid back local with live music, all rolled into one: the Washington is hugely popular and deserves to be so. The food is good, the real ales and imported lagers superb, and the staff take pride in being friendly event though the place is rammed most of the time.

If we could pick a local, this would be it. But we can't and we're not jealous, the Goose is just fine, thank you.
