Occupying 29 green acres in an otherwise highly urbanised area, Highbury Fields extend from Highbury Corner northwards, and is notable for the stunning Georgian and Victorian townhouses on its perimeter.

The park itself is a popular venue for a quiet stroll, and is home to tennis courts, a new pool and leisure complex and Boer War memorial.

Unlike many of the small green spaces in this area of London, you can actually escape the bustle of the city here, and its little wonder the great and good of the surrounding areas flock here to picnic.
