You know what you're getting at O'Neill's: big screen sport and plenty of seats are the good things, blaring bad music, crappy food and rip off drinks are the bad.We highly recommend the place for watching football. But not in any other context.

O'Neill's is an inexplicably successful chain of 'Irish' pubs with none of the charm or affordable prices you might expect from the genuine article.

At night, the place comes into its own as the prices don't seem such a rip off when everywhere affordable is shut and you're drunk. And the music doesn't seem so bad. Sometimes, in order to make up for this slightly improved state of affairs, they'll charge you a tenner to get in and when this happens, you know it's time to go home!
