This is a really romantic spot to whisk a date into after a trip to the British Museum or the West End, especially in winter when little coal fires add to the Dickensian charm of the rambling shop.

Abbott & Holder is a print shop and gallery that hosts shows of 18-20th century watercolours and paintings. The staff are absolutely charming and browsing the stuff for sale is just as much fun as the exhibitions...but be warned, some prints are at the high end of affordable and you may feel the urge to splash out.
