Built in 1700, this is one of many of Dr Samuel Johnson's many residences in London. From 1748-1759, Dr Johnson lived and worked here and it was here that he compiled the first comprehensive English Dictionary.
Restored to its original condition, the house contains a collection of period furniture, prints and portraits. Not that interesting unless you're a history buff and bored of all the other tourist attractions scattered around London.
Why not pop into the nearby Cheshire Cheese Pub, where Dr Samuel Johnson was a regular and there's still a dedicated seat for him.
