The Hunterian Museum - part of the Royal College of Surgeons - is based around the collection of Scottish surgeon John Hunter which the government purchased in 1799.

Today the museum is chock-full of weird and wonderful things, including strange anatomical specimens like the skeleton of Irish giant, Charles Byrne, and the fascinating Evelyn tavles.
