The Den and Centro combine every Friday for Popstarz. Popstarz has always been one of my favourite club nights in London (despite not being that way inclined) and it'd have to take a pretty poor venue to ruin it for me. Although The Den and Centro didn't go that far, it was pretty close. One of the orginal joys of Popstarz, especially when it was at the Scala, was jumping between the rooms, a bit of indie, a bit of cheese, a bit of RnB. Very good fun. The Den however makes this pretty much impossible. To get from the overly exposed indie room (it's right next to the front door) to the cheese room, you have to push your way through the RnB room. Which being the most popular room in the place really isn't easy at all. The only other way is to go outside and through the smoking area, which isn't obvious. Still a good club night, but not the best venue for it.
