Shillibeers is not somewhere you would come across accidentally, being nestled between King's Cross and Holloway.

The restaurant and bar (below the Pleasance Theatre) is situated in a former omnibus depot and hence named after their creator George Shillibeer. The industrial mood remains in the open space, bare brick walls and steel columns, but is made homely by wooden floors, white tablecloths and plants.

Expect good quality gastropub food, and plenty of customers just there for the drink. Happy Hour is 7-9pm (excluding Fridays) and there is a Latin dance night on Fridays.

We have been to some banging private parties at this venue, with a big crisp sound system, great cocktails, and friendly staff making it a popular choice.
