The concept of 20 Hoxton Square is a huge venue to showcase guerrilla art. 'Guerrilla art' meaning young, undiscovered artists who have no means to display or sell their work. The space is a big, no frills warehouse building consisting of two halls, a screening room and several, smaller, offshoot rooms - the idea of three young men; Richard Graham, Alexander Dellal and Adam Waymouth.
Their short, unscheduled shows aim to sell all works, which can range from everything from wall paintings and collage to watercolours, sculpture and photography, with affordable price tags. They aim to be welcoming to all ages, the antithesis of galleries with 'middle-aged billionaires only' welcome mats. They also have a freebie newspaper written by the participating artists which is available to read on their website.
