Housed in the railway arches of Shoreditch, Cargo is a nightclub, live music venue and restaurant with a refreshingly unpretentious air and room for 500 amongst its industrial and exposed brick interior.

As trains pass overhead, top DJs and internationally renowned live bands fire out eclectic cutting edge electronica to the denim clad funksters to be found skulking and skanking under the cool arches.

They have some brilliant line-up's; from beatbox battlejams to live breakbeat via experimental Swedish rock and massive reggae sound-off's courtesy of Trojan.

I'm not sure how they manage it but Cargo always seem to put on gigs that I'm desperate to see. Their Free Fridays are great fun and they have some very tasty cocktails. Too tasty.
