East Village, at the Old Street end of Great Eastern Street, is the club which rose from the ashes of the old Medicine Bar, and has now become a Shoreditch institution in itself.

The club has a heaving events schedule featuring plenty of house, techno, and dub, with some of the world's biggest and most influential DJs gracing its decks. 

They have a cracking soundsystem downstairs, and usually vary the music policies over the 2 floors, making this venue a good choice for an electronically influenced night of sweat, skanking and top class DJs.

The upstairs bar is now known as Villain Bar - a karaoke bar and lounge with its own events.
