The Hoxton branch of the Flowers empire exhibits paintings and prints which rarely deviate from the house style. This is, probably, a good thing. The reason for Flowers' success is the good taste of the curators and the high talents of the artists they work with.
Generally this gallery, being set in the heartland of YBA territory (circa '92), exhibits works closer to the less comprehensible, more abstract, end of the spectrum, so put your thinking caps on and get critical.

I really love this place. It's about a ten-minute walk from the office and the private views are always fun - they even had canapes at the last one (a bit of a rarity in the East)!
The shows are generally good too - from big-name retrospectives like Jack Smith to group shows for up-and-coming talent, it's a great gallery and not as wanky as some.
