Until relatively recently Kate MacGarry was one of the original cluster of exciting contemporary art galleries that sprung up along Vyner Street in the 1990s and 2000s.

But in May 2011, the gallery upped sticks and relocated just behind Redchurch Street in Shoreditch.

The gallery still generally shows the kinds of things that you'd expect from Vyner Street - lots of conceptual installations and cutting edge contemporary art. However, the artist list here is stronger than most and includes some well-established names, like Marcus Coates, Francis Upritchard and Goshka Macuga, so exhibitions are generally only of the highest quality.
