Daringly misspelling the name of the gallery for that crucial evidence of edgy creativity is more often than not an error, both on paper and in practice. To discover that Artworx is a nightmarish haven of seaside pastels comes as a disappointing shock to any constitution (OK, so before you all run for a permanent exhibition of beach hut pap, I made the name up, but what's life without a little artistic license?). Cutting to the chase, the Kemistry Gallery has more than earned its cool credentials to take such a name.

Kemistry is the operative word, and a fitting one. Past shows have seen design and art (same thing? you decide...) melded together without the commonly felt jarring that has taken the teeth out of many a critic. Some of the material can be lacking in depth, but aesthetically there's always going to be something that pokes you eye out, or at the very least provokes a heart fluttering response.
