The cosy little private bar under Morrell house has thankfully finally got around to opening it's doors to the public. It consists of two rooms separated by an anteroom with a piano in it, and a function room upstairs.

With eccentric Louis XIV meets Willy Wonka decor, a small but perfectly formed cocktail list with the emphasis on infusions, and knowledgeable, passionate bar staff, this looks like being a very welcome addition to the Shoreditch bar scene. It's an exquisite gem well hidden down a spiral staircase. Definitely good first date material.
