Perched precariously between the two bulging colossuses of Old Street and Great Eastern we find The Foundry. As a low key, laid back hang-out it stands out, offering fairly alternative fodder from the ever increasing popularity of neighbouring haunts.
It's local, almost student like in atmosphere minus the £1 jelly shot comedown. They run art exhibitions all year round which attract some attention, albeit drunken, but a welcome addition nonetheless.
'Tis the summer when The Foundry really reaches full stride, catching all the best rays that a glorious sun has to offer, benches litter the pavement, people spill out onto the streets, it's a veritable carnival.
