One of many ‘proper’ local east end boozers transformed into a live music venue, the Macbeth just oozes cool through the cracks in the tiles adorning the walls showing scenes from the Scottish play.

With something going on every night, from bands to performance art and fashion shows, the only downside is dodging the locals who have kept the same seat for 30 years and sneer at the beautiful young scenesters invading their territory.

But that is a moot point when you’re watching the next big thing on stage in a cosy venue with such a great atmosphere, and they even have a pool table at the back if you get bored between bands.
