Islington Museum is a collection of over 500 documents and artifacts of historical significance from the local area. There are occasional landmark collections celebrating the history of local companies, Arsenal FC, or other Islington institutions.
Their best permanant feature is a sort of 'guess the value' display of objects where you get to pitch your wits against the experts in a gruelling Antiques Roadshow Death Battle, I mean valuation exercise.
The Angel Gallery opened in 2000 as a space for their temporary shows. Local artists display here, including some of international standing.
In 2008, the museum relocated to more spacious premises in the Islington Town Hall.
