Quiet, reliable Wetherspoon's pub in a busy, noisy part of town. You're never going to have the most exciting time of your life but the low prices and plentiful seating come as something of a relief after a few hours in Camden or Islington.
The Glassworks are pretty garish and definitely not the place to go on an acid trip, unless you like the roots of a thousand trees to try and pull you into the carpet.
Old man's decor and uninspiring food aside, there's lots to love about this place - it isn't pretentious, it serves cheap beer, and the staff are brisk and friendly.
