Just the right mix of glamour and cool make The Old Queen’s Head one of the best destinations in Islington for eating, boozing, dancing or simply just chilling out on one of the outside tables after a hard day at the office.

The ridiculously beautiful barstaff and similarly gorgeous clientele would be enough to put some of us plebs off were it not for the friendly ambience and pleasant surroundings. And when the neon sign lights up, you know there’s something worth doing upstairs, be it speed dating, a band, a legendary DJ (Andy Weatherall has a regular slot) or just some extended boozing time.

Bags of character and great atmosphere, the Queen’s is well worth a visit any night of the week.
