Rosemary Branch Theatre

2 Shepperton Road, Islington, N1 3DT
Tel: 020 7704 6665

Excellent pub theatre with a very local vibe. From classic Oscar Wilde to fresh new playwrights from Dalston, this place showcases a truly eclectic mix of productions. But its the pantomimes here that close to rapturous applause every night. They're hilariously classic, usually camp and always conceived by delightful nutters.

The pub downstairs is superb as well, a great place to wind down with a few pints of good Czech beer or Fullers. The staff are friendly and the food is great.

The Rosemary is in a bit of an odd spot halfway between Angel and Old Street, but it is worth the journey and a lively, friendly theatre pub like this would be an asset to any neighbourhood.

The Rosemary Branch is one of our Top 10 Pub Theatres.

The rosemary is one of my favourite pubs in London and not only because it is a stones throw from Spoonfed HQ. It is a great place to grab some delicious food, to unwind after a long hard day at the office, or even to spot Team Spoonfed discussing which events should be in next weeks Spoonfedflavour. The crowd is full of great characters and there is always a good atmosphere. The small theatre upstairs only adds to its charm. Pubs like this seem to be a dying breed. Long live the rosemary!

The Rosemary Branch is a Spoonfed favourite and not just because it's around the corner from the office. With great food, events and theatre and friendly staff, you can't find a better pub in London. Don't be afraid to check out the weekly music quiz night - we promise that the Spoonfed team (probably) won't enter. It just wouldn't be fair.

This pub and theatre has a lot going for it. It’s in Hoxton, (tick) good beer, (tick) my mate was in a play there that was quite funny, (tick) and it’s conveniently located opposite the Spoonfed office (double tick). Beautiful fresh flowers adorn every table which is just one of the little touches that makes this place pretty special. I recommend.

Knuckleball is the best play I've seen in a long long time. Thank you.
