Nicely balanced gastropub with a posh dining room upstairs and a proper, comfy downstairs bar where you can eat the same good food on rickety tables and distressed but welcoming sofas.
Prices are high but still less than you would pay at a restaurant and the food is seriously good. Having won several awards they are smug about their food but the constantly changing guest ales and lively crowd of local drinkers keep this place grounded firmly in the territory of a nice pub with great grub.
A truly beguiling spot which draws you into several post dinner drinks and a chat with the locals.
