No kids allowed and no food at this pub a few blocks back from the Essex Road. Which makes a nice change from the pram jams at nearby gastro experiences like the Canonbury. This is a basic but friendly boozer, with nothing special to recommend and it's off the beaten track. For a quiet drink it would do the trick nicely.
