This is an old-school bar and restaurant with a warm cosy feeling that stems from the wood panelled walls, varnished oak tables and the feeling of being surrounded by a park which, with a bit of imagination, could easily be the Yorkshire moors.
A cursory glance down the listings of upcoming gigs will show you that the people who run this place are anything but old-school. The late licence allows for large rosters of live music and the variety of bands on offer should keep even the most up to date toe tappers happy.
The food is a cut above pub grub and in the summer an outdoor seating area becomes a leafy BBQ terrace.
