This old orangery has been given a new lease of life as a wonderful gallery. Set in the middle of Holland Park, it makes a great focal point for a walk and cries out for comparison with the nearby (and superior) Serpentine.
What The Orangery lacks in terms of connections, prestige and edginess, it makes up for with vast windows and an aspect that affords sunlight virtually round the clock. Sadly the gallery rarely curates very interesting exhibitions, so we don't recommend you make a trip across the city to view a show without prior knowledge of what's going on.
