Bull and Gate

389 Kentish Town Road, Kentish Town, NW5 2TJ
Tel: 020 7485 5358

A 17th century local boozer which is also one of the most popular live gig spots in North London. Many visitors see nothing more than a fetching boozer with ornate decor, a pool table and friendly Irish staff.

Out the back however is a large drinking hall with a stage which since the 1980s has become a hallowed stopping point on the path to musical fame or failure. The in house promotion team have an ear for folk, rock n' roll and blues and the Bull is a firm favourite with locals looking to let their hair down to some quality live music.

Well kept beer and comfortable surroundings make this a great spot for a quiet drink on a weekday. But if you linger on a gig night the place gets busier and busier until you find yourself at a raucous concert that feels like you've stumbled into the best impromptu party in the world.
