Recently saved from demolition and accorded listed status thanks to a celebrity clientele including Jason Lee, Rufus Sewell and the mighty Ken Livingston, the refurbished Pineapple ticks many boxes.

The summer finds the patio and pavement seating doing their al fresco thing, barbecue and all, while the coal fire and cosy interior inspire you to linger as the nights draw in.

The decor is all hand carved wood and etched mirrors, very snug. Darts and real ales sit happily with food that borders on gastro fare and with a weekly quiz night and a piano sitting in the corner, maybe that gig over at the Forum can wait a bit.
