This cosy, welcoming but stylish bar is a bit of a surprise, tucked behind the market with its litter, black tables covered in tat, and shady punters. Keep going past a clutch of greasy spoons and keep an eye out for the sign, because this place is not going out of its way to be noticed.
Founded by an Irish cocktail barman with an encyclopedic knowledge of sticky bottled alcohol and an alchemist's gift of creation, the dark welcoming bar mumbles sophistication, slaps you on the back and says, "you're one of us now". DJs play Thursday to Saturday, the staff are awesome and Anam draws a great crowd.
