Beautiful medium sized theatre which provided an early stage for such luminaries as Sir Ian McKellan and Dame Judi Dench during the 1970s and enjoyed massive support from the acting profession when threatened with closure in the 1990s.

Completely rebuilt and refurbished, the Shaw now plays host to plays, musical events, radio recordings and stand up comedy. It's a comfortable space with fantastic acoustics and the ideal staging point for intimate dramas or one man shows - the steeply raked seating makes it feel like you're on the stage with the actors.
