St Pancras Old Church

191 St Pancras Way, Kings Cross, NW1 1UL

Not to be confused with St Pancras New Church which is that cool looking neo-classical one on Euston Road, St Pancras Old Church is so bursting with history that we literally don't know where to start.

Believed to be one of the oldest sites of worship in England, let alone Camden, the church was established at some time during the 3rd Century. Although the buildings you see now-a-days date back to the Victorian period.

Strangely for a church in central London, the churchyard is mostly intact and seeing that the place is so ridiculously old, the graveyard is literally filled with famous dead people.  Let's see, you've got the architect John Sloane, Vampire writer John Polidori and the composer Johann Bach, The Beatles also shot a famous series of promos for 'Hey Jude' and 'The White Album in the grounds.

Now closely associated with the newly revamped St Pancras station, the church operates as a chaplaincy for the nearby rail workers. It also puts the occasional gig on.
