The Lexington

96-98 Pentonville Road, Kings Cross, N1 9JB
Tel: 020 7837 5371

Just right DJ bar and gig venue which gets packed out almost every night thanks to a good Upper Street location. The Lexington - formerly Clockwork, and for a very brief moment Sazerac - is the new kid on the block.

The events team know what they're doing - White Heat hold their sister night here (White Light), Sudden Def throw thunderous drum 'n' bass parties and there's plenty of live music nights.

During big events, crowds make the ground floor bar slightly inaccessible, but on non gig days the downstairs bit of the Sazerac is a really good bet for a beer and lounge around.

A really cool local, and well worth a visit for a gig, thanks to an intimate but noisy sound stage and a great crowd.

Reviews

Alice Aylett Roberts Monday, 14 September
With a pleasant bar downstairs and live music area upstairs, the Lexington caters for both swish after-work types and dirty music fans. I must have fallen into the latter category as I spend all my time at the top bar where the music is played just a little too loud - or maybe I’m just getting old. One thing that’s indisputable is the Lexington’s ability to showcase the music industry’s next big thing. There’s a stew of young talent in that place, which is reason enough to like it, I suppose.
