The Garrick is a classy theatre that does things the old school way. Most of the plays on offer here are modern classics and they rarely stray outside that remit. I saw David Mamet’s Oleanna here about 7 years ago and although it was a really entertaining night, the atmosphere lacked edge. Traditional theatre fans will be very pleased though and the elegant surroundings set the tone for high-brow entertainment.
