Newly refurbished, The Loaded Dog has set itself up as a pub specialising in live music. With a capacity of 300 and a well sized stage, this is a great place to check out a huge variety of unsigned bands. Wednesday is jazz night, Thursday's got the blues, and Fridays and Saturdays see up to five or six bands take to the stage over the course of an evening.

The pub also features a pool table and, bizarrely, a Bali-themed beer garden. Surely this is the only place in the world where you could head bang to an up-and-coming metal band whilst sporting a Balinese head-piece? Well, the only place apart from some gap-year kid's bedsit.
