Set up by Ronnie Wood's kids, Tyrone and Jamie, Scream London is probably better known (in the pages of the London Paper at least) for its celeb-strewn opening nights than for the actual artistic contents of the gallery.
However this is perhaps an unfair reflection of what new curator Brandon Coburn is actually trying to do at the gallery. Exhibitions vary dramatically, with solo shows of work by big names like American poet and painter René Ricard or Ronnie himself interspersed with exhibitions of exciting emerging talent.
A whole variety of styles are shown, from figurative painting to fashion photography, and from sculpture to film and illustration. Scream London is a serious project, but the atmosphere is a bit more fun than some of the surrounding Mayfair heavyweights.
