APT is a registered charity set up in 1995 by a group of artists to provide a space in South East London for fine contemporary art.

The charity leased the large warehouse building and a group of the founding artists converted it into studio space for contemporary art in mixed media. The Gallery houses 40 resident artists and has a programme which includes annual open studios events and exhibitions with talks and workshops.
