The 20th Century Theatre in Notting Hill has hosted an amazing array of performers in its past including Charles Dickens, Sir Henry Irvine, Marie Lloyd and Sir Lawrence Olivier, who completed his professional debut there in 1925.
Built in 1860, it fell into disuse around the 1960's and was rediscovered and restored in 1998. Now it is an English Heritage listed building and hosts a multitude of events from weddings to corporate functions and comedy nights.
