Paradise, By Way Of Kensal Green

'Opulence and elegance' are the buzz words used by Paradise, a new venue on Kilburn Lane. Whilst this may leave you hankering after a donor kebab and a converted warehouse that smells of wee, it can't be denied that this is a useful place.

There are nooks and crannies a plenty from the music room with free wi-fi, heavy duty sound system and late licence bar to the chandelier-filled dining room with Saturday brunch served till 4pm and Sunday roasts cooked by ex Marco Pierre White chef Tim Payne. Then there's the 'Reading Room' filled with 'leather-bound books and portraits of forgotten lord and ladies', saloon bar with leather banquettes and gourmet snacks, courtyard garden, roof terrace and private rooms for hire; this is certainly a lot more than your average boozer or bar.

With an events calender that's rapidly filling up with regular funk and comedy nights, film screenings and live music gigs, there's a lot on offer but if it's a quiet pint and a fag on the terrace you're after, that's ok too. Paradise might be stretching it, but for Kensal Green it comes pretty close.

Lovely pub in the heart of Kensal. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly bar staff and comfy seats. Loads of games, like backgammon and chess for the easily board. Always have good background music, usually funk or reggae - so all in all a nice place to hang out!

Only thing i hate about paradise is that i dont live closer!
Always had a good time whenever ive ventured there, whether it be for dinner (which is amazing quality and good value) or a night out at the weekend. Easily one of the most unique places ive been too in terms of combining the 2 elements of a bar/club/restaurant (guess that would be 3 elements but oh well). definately recommend it to anyone.....

What a place! The Paradise is my firm favourite, there's no better in Kensal. It seems to have everything you'd want in one beautiful package. I can be found there a few times a week either drinking in the mainbar, dining in the resteraunt or watching live stand up comedy upstairs. I'm not much into clubbing but there are always big ques on the weekends for people wanting to go to thier weekend DJ parties, very popular. The Paradise is a charming establishment indeed and well worth checking out.
