The bar formerly known as The Asylum has undergone a massive overhaul. Now going by the name of Bourne and Hollingsworth the place is working a lot harder to win over regulars.

B&H's new improved recipe involves live music on a Tuesday, open mic cabaret on Thursdays and a late, late DJ session on Fridays. This hard work has been well received by local drinkers so far, and their monthly 1920s themed Pyjama Party is a laugh.

With plush, comfortable interiors, swanky cocktails, nice beer and a busy programme of events, this place is unrecognisable. What's more, the bar staff smiled at us which would never, ever have happened at Asylum. We wish the new place well, and you should check it out.
