If you're spending the whole day shopping around Newburgh's little boutiques then you're going to need somewhere to stop for lunch, and trust Spoonfed when we say there's probably nowhere more lovely than La Trouvaille.
Sit downstairs for lunch and be transported to Southern France with the quirky decor and classically simple French menu (think wild mushroom tartlet to start or fillet of whiting for main course).
In the evening head upstairs to the light and elegant dining room. Again the idiosyncratic aesthetic is to the fore: clear perspex chairs combine (surprisingly well) with wooden flooring and ornate silver mirrors. The evening menu is richer and a little more elaborate, and even more captivating than the decor.
Food is very well priced (and it's all ethically sourced and organic), service friendly and well-informed and the wine-list is great. Look out for regular wine-tastings of boutique French producers accompanied by a specially tailored four course meal. Quelle Luxury!
