One of London’s oldest and biggest theatres (with over 2,200 seats) the London Palladium is not only a beautiful theatre for Londoners but also a part of our national popular culture.
It was this venue that hosted ITV’s hugely popular variety shows of the 70s and 80s and the Palladium is synonymous with names like Jimmy Tarbuck, Tommy Steele and Bruce Forsythe. The annual Royal Variety Performance is filmed at the Palladium with the Queen in the audience to watch the best of British.
For your actual ticket-holding visitor, the place is awesome with three massive tiers and a huge stage. Recently the venue became part of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s empire and he uses it for really big budget bravura shows like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,Scrooge and The Sound Of Music.
