If there is a better venue in this city for an opulent, period costume party, I don't know what it might be. I visited Number 5 for the Hothouse Revue, a 30s swingers night recreated in as authentic 30s style as possible. In the plush surroundings of Number 5, draping peals, feathers and cummerbunds looked perfectly placed. The rooms were intimate yet large enough for music and dancing and an impromptu (and possibly not allowed) exploration up the upstairs floors hinted at much more to see of the venue.

The biggest issue is the rather exorbitant drink prices which can put a damper on even the best evening. You're probably better off enjoying your beverages pre-party.
