I used to go to this building when its aisles were filled with any nut, bolt or screw you could think of. They've kept the exterior billboard from the hardware store that used to be there, one of many subtle but spot-on choices of design and decor that's been made. The food is usually delicious (though you wouldn't call it health food necessarily) over the several years I've gone, staff generally relaxed and friendly, and the events upstairs can be really engaging, and dare I say important. Worth being on the email list to find out which new ones are coming up each month, if you're interested in world affairs. Not in the best area of course in terms of nearby places you might want to visit in addition, but central nonetheless and worth a trip, and for some like me, many a return!
