Portrait painting and sculpture has undergone something of a revival since the 90s, and this gallery run by Sara Stewart must take some of the credit. By pulling together an impressive roster of artists, and presenting their work in a gallery, Stewart provides inspiration to the famous and wealthy to sit for a sketch, an oil painting or a full blown bronze bust.
For the public, this is a fascinating browse with copies of portraits including the Queen, Shane Warne, Ronnie Wood and the Sultan of Brunei. Be warned that you will want your own likeness after a brief look around this place - and take comfort in the fact that you probably can't afford it.
Accessible, downright entertaining and inspiring viewing.
