Just as the vast majority of galleries will be all but forgotten by the future's art historians, others will go down in the history books as groundbreaking supporters of the era's finest artists. The Haunch of Venison belongs very much in the latter group.

A fantastic resident artist list combined with a willingness to exhibit works by those from outside results in a truly important gallery with well earned credentials. The works range in form enormously, from video and audio installations to sculpture and photography. Keep an eye out for shows including some of the world's finest emerging young artists exhibiting alongside those of the older generation.

In 2011 the gallery returned to its home in Haunch of Venison yard following a lengthy stay round the back of the Royal Academy in Burlington Gardens.
