Designed and built by Sir Christopher Wren, St James’s has stood on the bustling thoroughfare of Piccadilly since 1684.
William Blake was baptised here in 1757 and despite heavy damage during WW2, it still stands defiantly in the heart of Westminster.
These days, its religious functions are supplemented by a steady flow of international musicians treading its hallowed boards, with REM and Arcade Fire recently playing celebrated gigs here.
