Waterstone's Piccadilly is the largest book store in Europe, with five floors of books, magazines, and other assorted paraphernalia. The top floor contains a pleasant bar with good views of the Houses of Parliament.

Until purchased by Waterstone's in 1999, the solidly elegant Art Deco building was home to gentleman's outfitter Simpson's. Many mourned the loss of this shrine to tweed and slacks.
