Huge and wonderful outdoor theatre right next to London Zoo in Regent’s Park. Every year Open Air Theatre stage a couple of Shakespeares, including A Midsummer Nights Dream, two pieces of serious drama, a musical and two children’s productions. Al fresco theatre is always great and these guys are at the top of the game, with polished, big budget productions, huge crowds and a unique dusky atmosphere.
Established in 1932, the Open Air Theatre is the oldest fully professional, permanent outdoor theatre in Britain, with one of the largest theatre auditoriums in London. Over 120,000 people visit each year during the 15 week summer season.
