V22 is a very interesting operation in the art world. It provides studio space for artists, has a large independent gallery and prints limited editions of sponsored works. But that is not all. What sets the organisation apart from others is that it functions as "the artists' answer to an art fund".
It is a public limited company in which artists and investors own shares in a substantial art collection. The quality of works, by default, have to be of exceptionally high quality and have good potential financial growth. All very corporate and decidedly anti-leftist, but then, what would the London scene be like without a bit of ideological variety? Works exhibited are contemporary, generally executed by established artists.
