Some claim that Karsten Schubert kicked off the Young British Artist movement in 1988 with a show including the artists Ian Davenport, Gary Hume and Michael Landy. Regardless of whether the claim can be substantiated, the man has serious pedigree in the contemporary art world.
His gallery sells works by some 20th century and older contemporary greats, including Bridget Riley, Richard Long and Dan Flavin. Shows are of exceptionally high quality, rarely exhibiting anything by artists other than the most established in their fields.
